The Pumpkin Head PDF Pattern (US terminology)
This PDF pattern is an advanced-beginner to intermediate level pattern. It includes written instructions, photos of each item, helpful notes in the beginning, thorough video tutorials for in-depth visuals, and an add-on for what was done to make the watermelon head.
Materials needed:
• Measuring tape
• Scissors
• 2 skeins per head—Premier XL Chunky yarn (#7) or Hobbii Toucan (#6) (must use yarn these weights)
• Lightweight yarn for mesh eyes (#2 or #3)
• Medium weight brown yarn for the stem (#4)
• Corresponding hooks based on the gauge swatches
• Cardboard for the stem, 4” wide by 2” tall.
• Tapestry needle/large needle
• 2mm wire recommended if you’d like to shape the head & eyes
Time: on average the top takes around 10-15 hours
More info about this pattern: I use US terminology/abbreviations but provide a key for any beginners to look at to understand what each abbreviation means. I also provide ONE hour long video tutorials for showing you how to make the slices, mesh eyes, seam the slices together, add additional support, and make a stem for the top. You only need to know basic stitches like chain and double crochet. There are no stitch charts in this pattern, but photos of each item to offer additional visuals.
It has every way of teaching possible to help any person with any learning preference successfully achieve this pumpkin head.
